Oasis of the Seas: Mediterranean Marvels and Caribbean Adventures

Royal Caribbean International’s Oasis Class of cruise ships will soon provide a wider range of itineraries with the introduction of the new Utopia of the Seas in July. The fleet of ships, which includes some of the biggest cruise ships in the world, will also provide shorter sailings, as well as itineraries in the Mediterranean and the United States, in addition to weeklong cruises in the Caribbean. Short Bahamas trips will be available during the new Utopia of the Seas’ first season, which is scheduled to begin in July 2024.

The LNG-powered ship, which is now undergoing construction at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in France, will operate three- and four-night voyages from Port Canaveral the rest of the year.

The Wonder of the Seas is planned to depart from the Central Florida homeport in 2024 after landing in Port Canaveral in late 2022.

Week-long itineraries to the Western and Southern Caribbean are part of the ship’s year-round schedule, which also includes stops at Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island in the Bahamas.

The Symphony of the Seas will provide seven-night cruises from Cape Liberty in addition to excursions to the Caribbean departing from Florida in the summer of 2024.

The 2018-built ship, which will make its debut at Royal Caribbean’s homeport in the New York area, will regularly depart for various Bahamas and Florida destinations between late May and early November.

The Symphony of the Seas also has similar itineraries departing from Miami beginning in November, as well as seven-night cruises to the Caribbean departing from Fort Lauderdale beginning in early May.

In 2024, the Harmony of the Seas will still depart from Galveston. The ship is expected to make its Texas homeport debut later this year and provide a number of seven-night voyages to the Western Caribbean.

On Sundays, Harmony departs from Galveston and travels to Roatán, Honduras, as well as Cozumel and the Costa Maya in Mexico.

The Allure of the Seas will begin running three- and four-night trips to the Bahamas from Port Canaveral in 2024 after becoming the first Oasis-Class ship to regularly provide short voyages.

The 2010-built ship repositions to Miami in the middle of July after the new Utopia takes over its Central Florida programme. The ship’s itineraries depart from both of these ports and travel to Perfect Day at CocoCay, a private island owned by Royal Caribbean, as well as Nassau.

Europe will once again welcome the Oasis of the Seas in 2024. The ship switches its summer destination to the Western Mediterranean after beginning the year by conducting Miami-departing week-long Caribbean trips.

Between early May and late September, the Oasis will provide a number of itineraries to Spain, Italy, and France, sailing from Barcelona and Civitavecchia.

In November, after making its way back to North America, the ship launches a new schedule of seven-day trips to the Caribbean, departing from Fort Lauderdale this time.
