1 Hotel Mayfair Opening Soon in London

In the heart of London’s historic Mayfair, 1 Hotels, the nature-inspired luxury lifestyle hotel brand founded by hospitality visionary Barry Sternlicht, announces that reservations are now being taken for its UK flagship and first European location, which is scheduled to open on 13th July 2023. Just a few steps away from the famed emporia of Bond Street, Berkeley Square, and Piccadilly, as well as the world-class galleries, chic shops, first-class restaurants, and stately trees and lush lawns of gorgeous Green Park, lies the nine-story sustainable retreat.

In the chic centre of London’s most exclusive hospitality neighbourhood, 1 Hotel Mayfair purposefully forges an unusual combination of sustainability and luxury. With Buckingham Palace, The Royal Academy, and the West End theatre district all within easy walking distance, the hotel delivers a breath of fresh air infused with a deep love and respect for nature.

This urban oasis, built to BREEAM Excellent standards, chose reconstruction over new construction and employed 80% of the old structure, which was repurposed to limit negative environmental impact. Exterior walls with living green trellises turn once-hard surfaces into vertical natural landscapes. An attractive outdoor public place where passing Londoners may connect with nature and the neighbourhood has been created from a recently cobbled and pedestrianised former parking lot.

35 magnificent rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows and spacious patio areas have been added to the building’s top two levels, inviting visitors to entertain or unwind while overlooking Green Park, one of London’s eight Royal Parks. The double-height Green Park Penthouse Suite has the largest one-bedroom suite in Mayfair, with a vast 274-square-metre layout. With an additional 304 square metres and 340 square metres of space, the Green Park Penthouse can accommodate 2 and 3 bedrooms, respectively. A wraparound patio and retractable sliding doors that fully open to reveal expansive and breathtaking park views are included. All 181 rooms, including 44 suites, warmly welcome visitors to unwind, revitalise, and recover in a nestlike setting. More than 200 local and regional plant species are thriving throughout the resort. The artwork that is solely commissioned from regional artists who are inspired by nature and intended to evoke a sense of closer connection to Britain’s venerable landscape can be found at every turn inside the building.

Dovetale, the ground-floor eatery by the acclaimed two-Michelin starred chef Tom Sellers, will serve high-quality seasonal, organic food that is sourced locally, from hand-dived scallops to lamb that has been grown on a farm. Dover Yard, which has been painstakingly revived as part of the project, is named after the signature cocktail bar. The cuisine features inventive creations influenced by regional customs. At a large communal table in the centre, Neighbours Cafe serves barista-made ethical fair-trade coffee along with small bites. The Bamford Wellness Spa provides the highest calibre custom therapies in strict adherence to Lady Bamford’s holistic method of health and wellness.
