As part of a complete easing of pandemic travel curbs, travelers visiting Chile will no longer require a PCR test or Covid-19 immunization certificate upon entrance. Random Covid-19 testing will no longer be conducted on foreign visitors to the nation. The rules for international travelers were loosened last week.
After the World Health Organization (WHO) deemed the Covid public health emergency to be over, the nation’s health ministry made the modification. However, the nation’s tourism bureau stated: “It is important to highlight that, although the epidemic threat in relation to Covid-19 is declining, the circulation of other respiratory viruses should be acknowledged ahead of the winter months.
“It is therefore important to keep vaccinations up to date, both against Covid-19 and influenza, as well as to maintain the self-care measures that were adopted during the pandemic: frequent hand washing, keeping closed spaces ventilated, and the use of masks where necessary.
