On the southern Kefalonian shores, Eliamos Villas Hotel & Spa, a brand-new premium boutique hotel, debuts. This five-star resort is made up of 12 villas on a private estate and is perched above a hidden cove and secluded beach. It has a restaurant with a local flair, a spa, an outdoor gym, and a number of outdoor activities.
Along with her husband Spyro Korsianos, whose family is from Kefalonia, Maike Gruna, an interior architect with roots in Hamburg who now resides in London, is in charge. The building’s architecture evokes Kefalonia’s unspoiled scenery by fusing luxury with subtle modernism.
A true home away from home, each of the 12 one, two, and three-bedroom villas has its own private saltwater pool or hot tub, kitchen, outdoor dining area, barbecue, and terrace. Each villa links with the island’s earthy nature and serves as a haven of peace to fit the needs of every visitor, offering expansive views of the shimmering Ionian sea or spreading olive trees.
At Eliamos, healing, and tranquility rooted in nature seamlessly take center stage. Eliamos seeks to reimagine the wellness getaway by establishing roots in nature’s undeniable healing powers and promoting guerilla wellness practices. It has an outdoor sea-facing gym with wooden Pilates reformers and a Nohrd rower and bike, an on-site Reformer Pilates, yoga, and fitness instructor, a sizable infinity salt-water pool and relaxation area, a remote beach, and a spa that offers massages, reflexology, and aromatherapy treatments that are
With Chef Socrates Malinganis at the helm, Eliamos cultivates a true-to-life yet elegant eating concept that taps into the force of Mediterranean cuisine and highlights premium products from nearby farmers and organic producers. You can anticipate local feta and fresh Kefalonia cream cheese, known as Prentza, as well as fresh fish from the Ionian Sea and other healthy, locally sourced ingredients in your fresh, traditional Kefalonian cuisine. Various ingredients, such as pine nuts, cardamom, fresh mint, dry figs, and walnuts, are used to garnish dishes. After dinner, visitors can toast the end of each day on the Ionian island with a carafe of Robola, the native island’s distinctive and complex wine, on the bar patio of Eliamos.
In-depth outdoor activities rooted in nature are available to guests at Eliamos, including hiking, cycling, boat trips to nearby Ithaca and Zante, Jeep safaris around the island, stargazing at the Dark Sky Park in Mount Aenos National Park, wine tasting, turtle watching, and more. The hotel’s private beach welcomes visitors to relax in the sunshine while enjoying Chef Malinganis’s custom-made picnic hampers at their sun loungers.
Eliamos suggests a sustainable vacation that is entwined with nature’s bounty and exudes an eco-friendly attitude. The Eliamos philosophy is infused with sustainability and the environment, which is evident throughout the visitor experience. Kefalonia just joined the UNESCO Geoparks Network, which means sustainability is now more crucial than ever for the tourist destination. Eliamos won’t use single-use plastic and will work toward being completely plastic-free in the future. The first phases of this program include the implementation of wooden key cards, wooden gym equipment, refillable bathroom amenities, and the distribution of Eliamos reusable water bottles. In order to assist the neighborhood, the restaurant has installed solar panels, will reuse water waste to irrigate the gardens, used local stone for construction, and will purchase food from nearby farmers and suppliers.
