JW Marriott, one of 30 exceptional hotel brands in Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio, has just opened the JW Marriott Hotel Xi’an, a magnificent location with six UNESCO World Heritage cultural and historic monuments. The hotel offers exceptional service and a dedication to holistic well-being, encouraging guests to create connections and restore their mind, body, and spirit. It combines the beauty of the historic city of Xi’an with the refinement and luxury of the JW Marriott brand.
“We are thrilled to debut JW Marriott Hotel Xi’an and expand the JW brand portfolio into a destination where history and culture combine with a forward-looking modernity,” said Bruce Rohr, Vice President and Global Brand Leader, JW Marriott. “True to its brand DNA, JW Marriott Hotel Xi’an bears the legacy of our founder J. Willard Marriott and creates a tranquil, luxury space that offers many paths to well-being, where guests can nourish their souls while they explore one of China’s great ancient capitals.”
“JW Marriott Hotel Xi’an offers a balance of thoughtful luxury and enriching experiences for sophisticated, mindful guests who seek to be fully present wherever they go,” said Philip Kang, General Manager, JW Marriott Hotel Xi’an. “We look forward to welcoming our guests to explore and discover beautiful Xi’an, one of China’s Four Great Ancient Capitals with its fascinating blend of timeless culture, as they foster meaningful connections and experience every moment to the fullest.”
The JW Marriott Hotel Xi’an is well situated near a number of well-liked landmarks, including the Daming Palace National Heritage Park and the Ancient City Wall, in the zone’s central business sector. About 40 kilometers from the hotel, the Terracotta Warriors monument is accessible from the city center and is a part of the UNESCO World Heritage List. Both the Xian North Railway Station and the Xian Xianyang International Airport are a thirty-minute journey or less away by car.
Through carefully chosen artworks and meticulous touches, the hotel’s interiors, which were created by HBA Hong Kong, transport visitors on a trip through time along the Silk Road. These interiors reflect the almost 3,000-year-old rich history of Xi’an. A modern installation depicting an ancient wagon in the arrival foyer on the first floor makes visitors think about the historical significance of Xi’an. There are 333 guest rooms in the hotel, including 13 suites with contemporary facilities. The hotel’s guest rooms are located on the 25th through 37th floors, and each one has floor to ceiling windows with stunning city views. On the 36th floor, the JW Executive Lounge is a unique private location for leisure and business guests to rest or get some work done. From the hotel lobby on the 38th floor, visitors may enjoy panoramic views over the Qin Ling Mountains, renowned as the “dragon’s vein of China.”
Two restaurants and a lounge offer a variety of nutritious and wholesome selections, giving guests a wide range of immersive dining options to choose from. The best of Cantonese cuisine, including Cantonese soup, is featured at Jin Wei Court Chinese Restaurant together with well-known regional specialties, giving customers a dining experience that starts with wholesome, nourishing selections to revive body and mind. JW Kitchen, located on the 38th floor, serves authentic local cuisines from around the world as well as a la carte and buffet dining experiences with live cooking stations, such as a noodle bar. On the same floor, the Lobby Lounge offers handcrafted cocktails and afternoon teas with distinctive themes while providing views of the city.
During their stay, visitors at the JW Marriott Hotel Xi’an are encouraged to cultivate relationships and develop mindfulness through holistic experiences and peaceful settings. The hotel’s dining establishments and cookery workshops benefit from the fresh ingredients that are procured from the JW Garden, the brand’s iconic outdoor location. The 24-hour fitness center and indoor infinity heated swimming pool offer guests places to relax and revitalize while the Spa by JW is a haven of serenity and tranquility.
For holding business or social events, the hotel provides multipurpose areas measuring a total of 3,470 square meters. Pillarless designs and regionally inspired paintings may be found in the 1,100 square meter Yongning Ballroom and the 800-square meter Changle Ballroom. The event venues are all outfitted with cutting-edge audiovisual equipment, and they are all accompanied by a committed banqueting team, bringing the brand’s dedication to meticulously planned, proactive service to life. For smaller gatherings and events, eight adaptable function areas and meeting rooms are also available.
