With free ‘chat’ communications available to all travelers who sign in with their Etihad Guest membership or register online prior to their flight, passengers can enjoy access to popular messaging services like WhatsApp, Messenger, and WeChat. For those who want unlimited data for surfing, checking social media, or working while in the air, the ‘surf’ Wi-Fly plans are available for a flat rate for the duration of the trip.

The Chat package is priced at $2.99 for flights under 7 hours or is free for Etihad Guest members, while the Surf package costs $9.99. For flights longer than 7 hours, the Chat plan is priced at $4.99 or is free for Etihad Guest members, and the Surf package costs $19.99. Etihad Guest Platinum and Exclusive tier members, as well as passengers flying in First Class on Etihad, enjoy complimentary Surf Wi-Fly access, while Etihad Guest Gold members can save 25% on the Surf package.

In addition to the Wi-Fly service, Etihad Airways also offers its award-winning inflight entertainment service, E-BOX, which caters to a diverse range of passengers. E-BOX provides TV series, music, podcasts, games, and blockbuster movies from around the world, including Hollywood, Bollywood, Arabic, Asian, and European content. Passengers can also stay updated with seven live news and sports TV channels. The wide-body fleet features seat-back screens with on-demand access to E-BOX, while the narrow-body fleet offers wireless E-BOX streaming to passengers’ personal devices.
