Swan Hellenic will offer a number of special cultural adventure cruises on board the SH Diana and SH Vega, to the East and West coasts of Africa in 2023.
Nine cultural excursion trips with lengths ranging from eight to fourteen days are available to passengers between March and November 2023 onboard the two ships.
During each cruise, knowledgeable expedition leaders will provide their thoughts on the locations visited.

The SH Vega will explore the West Coast of Africa offering four cultural expedition cruises: “Safaris of the Southwest Coast,” “Unspoilt Wilds of Southwest Africa,” “Cultural Crucibles of West Africa” and “Volcanic Cultures of Africa’s Atlantic Islands.”
Ten to 14 days are included in the itineraries.
Highlights range from seeing lowland gorillas and hippos in Gabon’s Loango National Park to coming across chimpanzees in the Republic of the Congo’s Conkouati-Douli National Park. Prices begin at £3,708.
From August to November, the SH Diana will cruise the North and East Coasts, offering five cultural expedition cruises, including “Mysteries of Carthage and the Moors,” “Revelations of Suez, Sinai, and the Red Sea,” “Paradise Islands of the Indian Ocean,” “Madagascar and its Eastern Islands,” and “Extraordinary Southern Africa.” They range from eight to thirteen days.
Attractions include visiting Pemba Island, the Nabataean city of Petra, and the holy city of Medina.
