To better serve clients with access needs, Tui UK has teamed with accessibility service AccessAble.
The agreement, which is believed to be the first of its type for hotels located abroad, will lead to the development of online Detailed Access Guides, enabling more people to travel abroad.
In the UK, AccessAble has conducted surveys at various stores, tourist destinations, restaurants, and hotels. More than five million people use their website and app annually.
At hotels from Tui’s portfolio, the company’s surveyors will carry out a mix of in-person and remotely led accessibility surveys.
Using AccessAble’s website and app, retail workers, agents, and customers will be able to access Detailed Access Guides made from the results.
The accessibility surveys will begin in April and run all year long. The instructions will be made available in the upcoming months.
Director of client experience delivery Sue Bradley stated: ”We want to widen the opportunity for customers with visible and non-visible disabilities to enjoy Tui beach holidays overseas and this extremely exciting partnership with AccessAble will help our customers to make an informed decision as to whether a hotel will suit their needs.”
