With the introduction of a new route to the Isle of Man on Tuesday (28th February), Aer Lingus is expanding services at Belfast City airport.
Emerald Airlines, the company’s franchise operator, will operate flights six times a week during the busiest summer months between the capital of Northern Ireland and the isle.
“We look forward to continuing to grow our services, providing more options for those travelling to and from Belfast,” said Emerald executive chair Connor McCarthy.
The Irish carrier has increased operations at Belfast City airport by adding more than 200,000 tickets for this summer as a result of Flybe’s bankruptcy in late January.
The East Midlands and Newcastle are two of the new locations, which were announced earlier this month. To help with its expansion aspirations, Aer Lingus has started a recruiting drive in both Dublin and Belfast.
