Sales for the MSC World Cruise 2025, which will sail on the MSC Magnifica and include a completely new itinerary, began today by MSC Cruises.
According to a press statement, the 116-night journey will stop at 50 locations across 21 countries, include 22 locations that have never been included on the company’s prior world cruises, and involve seven overnight stops.
The three-month expedition will cover more than 30,000 nautical miles and take cruisers to five different continents and three of the world’s greatest oceans.
Voyagers can set sail on 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th January from Civitavecchia, Genoa, Marseille, and Barcelona, respectively.
The journey departs from Europe and travels via Casablanca, Morocco, and Mindelo, the capital of Cape Verde.
Guests will spend 10 days traveling through South America after crossing the Atlantic Ocean, stopping for overnights in Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, and Valparaiso as well as excursions to the Falkland Islands and the continent’s southernmost point, Ushuaia.
The ship then travels across the South Pacific Ocean and stops at several tropical islands, including Easter Island, French Polynesia, and the Cook Islands, for over two weeks.
The cruise will then start a lengthy tour of Australia and New Zealand. In eight days, visitors can travel to Auckland, Tauranga, Napier, Christchurch, and Dunedin. They can then sail via southern New Zealand’s Milford Sound fjord.
The MSC Magnifica will dock at Sydney, Australia to begin the second month of its voyage before beginning a 19-day trip through Australia’s southern and western shores with stops in Eden, Melbourne, Adelaide, Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island, Albany, Busselton, Perth, and Broome.
The ship then makes its way to Asia, stopping at Benoa on Bali, Indonesia, as its first port of call. The MSC Magnifica then departs for Singapore, Phuket in Thailand, Port Klang and Penang in Malaysia.
The ship will travel across the Indian Ocean to Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, before continuing on to the Middle East with stops at Aqaba, Sharm El-Sheikh, and Safaga along the Red Sea. It will then traverse the Suez Canal to arrive at Alexandria on the Mediterranean coast of Egypt.
The MSC Magnifica then makes its way back to Europe, stopping at four Italian destinations before docking in Genoa to complete the MSC World Cruise 2025.
