The launch of Khartoum to London Gatwick has been announced by Sudanese airline Badr Airlines. There is very little lead-in time because the route will start three weeks from the date this article is published. In the past 20 years, four airlines have connected the capitals of the UK and Sudan.
Badr, which in Arabic means “full moon,” has 10 737s, including five 737-500s, four 737-800s, and one 737-300. According to ch-aviation, they live an average of 22.6 years. The carrier has disclosed that Gatwick will be its upcoming route. It will run on Tuesdays and Fridays starting on 24th February and, of course, utilize the 737-800. These feature 162 economy seats and 8 business seats. Following is the schedule, all times are local:
