For its 2024 UK and Europe season, Princess Cruises will offer nearly four million cruise nights across 162 departures, making it the largest in the region in its history.
The program will feature 162 departures over five ships, including the new Sphere-class Sun Princess, making it 28% larger than in 2023 and 42% larger than in 2019.
The season, which runs from February to November, will include more than 130 locations across 34 nations.
In addition to 10-night voyages out of Barcelona or Rome and seven-night voyages out of Barcelona, Athens, or Rome, the 4,300-passenger Sun Princess will also make its first port of call in Southampton on 22nd September and spend the night there.
In addition, guests will have the option of combining the three seven-night itineraries to make a 21-night cruise, while Island Princess will offer additional Mediterranean sailings.
With Sky Princess homeporting for the fourth year in a row and sailing to both northern and southern Europe, the company is also planning to execute its largest Southampton round-trip deployment.
A first for the line, Sky Princess will also run a 31-night itinerary to New England and Canada that includes overnights in both New York City and Quebec.
Additionally, Regal Princess will operate round-trip cruises to the British Isles from Southampton, while Caribbean Princess will round out the Southampton homeport fleet.
Summer Solstice voyages to the far north of Europe and two five-night Sky Princess cruises from Southampton are among the fleet’s itineraries.
Vice-president of Princess Cruises UK and Europe, Eithne Williamson, said: “With four million cruise nights available, UK guests will have more choice than ever before to sail across Europe with Princess Cruises, and we hope travel agents are as excited as we are to have the brand new Sun Princess based in the Mediterranean for her inaugural season in 2024.
“Sailings from Southampton remain in high demand, and 2024 will see the longest ex-UK season in Princess Cruises’ history. With three ships sailing from Southampton between March and November, we have increased capacity by more than 40% compared to 2022, providing travel agents with even more opportunity to sell with Princess.”
She added: “The addition of two short cruises on Sky Princess provides a perfect opportunity for new guests to sample the Princess Difference for the first time.”
