The delayed debut of the new ship Queen Anne is one of the elements of Cunard’s summer 2024 sailings.
The package goes on sale to the public on 7th December and covers departures between April 2024 and January 2025.
More than 190 brand-new voyages depart from 90 different ports around the world, including the Queen Anne’s redesigned debut trip on a 3rd May sailing for seven nights from Southampton to La Coruna and Lisbon.
Due to supply chain concerns, the new 3,000-passenger ship’s launch has been postponed from January 2024.
Following its inaugural voyage, Queen Anne will set off on a 14-night voyage to the Canary Islands before making her way around the British Isles, stopping in Scotland, Ireland, and Liverpool, the port where Cunard was founded.
In addition to visiting more than 60 locations in 16 nations during her inaugural season, Queen Anne will travel from Southampton to the Mediterranean, Scandinavia, the Canary Islands, and the Norwegian fjords.
Cunard’s 182-year legacy of transatlantic travel will be upheld by Queen Mary 2, which will make 20 trips between Southampton and New York.
The ship will also travel to the Caribbean for the 2024 holiday season and to Scandinavia for the Northern Lights.
With over 75 fly-cruise itineraries to Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Montenegro, and Croatia on a series of 7, 14, and 2-night sailings leaving from Barcelona, Civitavecchia (Rome), Trieste, Hamburg, and Istanbul, Queen Victoria will spend the summer of 2024 in the Mediterranean.
The timetable for Queen Elizabeth’s trip back to Alaska will be made public in the following months.
With nighttime departures and overnight stays in cities like Reykjavik, Tromso, Rotterdam, and Quebec, ships spend more time in ports overall.
President of Cunard parent company Carnival UK, Sture Myrmell, stated: “Summer 2024 is a particularly exciting time for Cunard as our new ship Queen Anne joins the fleet.
“We’re delighted that our quartet of queens will be visiting a variety of awe-inspiring destinations around the world.
“With more overnight stays and longer days in port on offer, we’re giving guests the opportunity to really immerse themselves in the local culture at their leisure.
“On top of that, guests can look forward to enjoying our unique onboard experience, which offers outstanding service and the freedom to relax in pure luxury.”
