For its 150th anniversary, Holland America Line is launching a number of heritage cruises.
Over the course of the following year, there will be 48 trips, incorporating “exclusive” shoreside and on board experiences.
Alaska, the Caribbean, northern Europe, the Mediterranean, Australia/New Zealand, Hawaii, South America, and Mexico will all be included on special itineraries.
The 56 ports of call are highlighted by the historical cruises, which also share local legends that link the ports to the cruise company.
Shipboard amenities like regional drinks and menus and display displays that highlight historical events, images, and interesting data will help passengers experience the ports’ cultures firsthand.
During a “throwback” happy hour, some cocktails can be had for as little as 75 cents.
Gus Antorcha, the company’s president, said: “As a beloved company that’s been around for 150 years, these special Heritage Cruises allow us to continue celebrating Holland America Line with our guests in a meaningful way.
“We have a deep connection to ports around the world, and we’re excited to show how each highlighted destination has shaped our brand.”
