Peninsula Hotels to Open a New Property in Istanbul

On 14th February, 2023, The Peninsula Hotels will debut a brand-new establishment in Istanbul, Turkey.

A new waterfront revitalization project called Galataport, which is slated to include a promenade, museums, art galleries, restaurants, boutiques, and a cruise ship port, will include The Peninsula Istanbul, which will be situated along the banks of the Bosporus Strait in the city’s historic Karaköy district.

Many of the city’s historic sites, including Galata Tower, Galata Bridge, Hagia Sophia Mosque, Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace, are within walking distance of the property.

Four seafront structures will house 177 rooms and suites at The Peninsula Istanbul. The bulk of lodging will have expansive windows, balconies, or private patios with views of the Bosphorus. Direct access to the property’s gardens, outdoor pool, private boat dock, and upscale shops are among the other amenities.

Custom furniture, original artwork, current Turkish design features including wood and mother-of-pearl inlay, kilim-style carpets, and bathrooms finished in Marmara marble will all be used to embellish the apartments.

Sustainable, custom-scented bath products and multilingual touchscreen control panels will be available as in-room amenities.

The Peninsula Suite, the hotel’s premier room type, has its own hammam, gym, and rooftop pool.

There will be a rooftop restaurant and bar serving Turk-Asian cuisine that is influenced by the culinary customs of the Silk Road.

The main dining room, which reflects the “confluence” of Asian and Turkish cultures, a rooftop terrace with views of the Bosphorus, hotel gardens, and The Lobby restaurant, a double-height space with big windows and water views from both the main and mezzanine levels, where the Peninsula’s famous afternoon tea will be served.

The Peninsula Spa and Wellness Centre will be located on the property and include hammams, a 25-meter indoor pool, eight private treatment rooms, and a “extensive” menu of services.

A state-of-the-art fitness center will offer workshops and classes in physical fitness as well as mindfulness, and rooms will each have a dedicated Health Portal that will enable constant access to wellness resources including audio meditations, guided workout routines, and aromatherapy.

Additionally, The Peninsula Istanbul will provide guests with access to exclusive services like Peninsula Time, which enables early or late check-in, and PenChat, which gives them access to a 24-hour digital concierge, as well as arts programs and cultural experiences that are specific to the destination.

According to reports, the building would honor Turkish art and design and feature a curated collection of artwork from both established and up-and-coming Turkish artists.

Reservations are now being accepted for the Peninsula Istanbul. The company is offering an introductory rate of €1,050 per room, per night, which includes free breakfast every day for two people, a €100 dining, spa, and wellness credit, and free airport transportation for all suite reservations.
