The pre-embarkation antigen test requirement for vaccinated passengers will no longer apply starting in November, and Star Clippers will admit unvaccinated passengers.
The modifications will take effect on 5th November for Royal Clipper’s Barbados to Panama voyage, 19th November for Star Clipper’s Barbados to Panama schedule, and 26th November for Star Flyer’s St. Maarten round-trip.
A negative antigen test conducted within 48 hours of embarkation or a PCR test conducted within 72 hours of embarkation in a controlled environment will be needed of passengers traveling without a Covid vaccination.
Star Clippers has stated that home or self-tests will not be accepted and that it is the passenger’s duty to facilitate the test. Even if a guest has had all required vaccinations, they must still show proof of immunization before boarding.
General Manager Fay McCormack said: “This latest update will come as a huge relief to new guests and existing passengers alike. Star Clippers will continue to adhere to strict health and hygiene policies on board, closely following public health guidelines, as we have always done so.”
