Royal Caribbean Further Loosen Its Covid-19 Standards

In order to “fit with the larger travel market,” Royal Caribbean International has revealed plans to further loosen its Covid-19 standards.

Unvaccinated passengers may board Royal Caribbean ships beginning on 5th September as long as they present a negative test result.

On cruises lasting nine nights or less, guests who have had their vaccinations are exempt from testing.

All passengers, whether or not they have had a vaccination, must present a negative test result obtained within three days before their sailing date as part of the new standards if the journey is longer than nine nights.

On all Royal sailings, children under five do not require testing or immunization.

Travelers still need to be immunized on sailings to or from Australia, Bermuda, Canada, or Singapore according to local laws.

Additionally, tests are still necessary for cruises leaving from or stopping in Greece or Israel.

The phrase read: “The cruise line continues to practice health and safety measures that exceed other types of vacations.

“These measures include the routine monitoring and vaccination of all crew members and keeping them up to date with boosters when they are eligible, enhanced testing and care capabilities in every onboard medical centre and more.”

Celebrity Cruises, a sister company, has also announced similar lenient protocols beginning the next month.

It acknowledged that new steps had been taken to increase accessibility for its cruises.
