Disney Cruise Line Removed Vaccine Requirement for Minor Below 12

From 2nd September, Disney Cruise Line will no longer need vaccinations for children under the age of 12.

All passengers five years of age and older must currently be immunized before sailing from US and Canadian ports.

However, as of September 2, that regulation will no longer be in effect, and only individuals aged 12 and beyond will be subject to the vaccination requirement.

The cruise line has updated its website to reflect the changes, but it still cautions that even though it is no longer requiring under-12s to do the obligatory tests, it “strongly recommends that guests ages 11 and below be completely vaccinated before sailing.”

Additionally, the line amended its testing policy so that passengers who take a Covid test up to two days prior to boarding and are completely immunized on sailings leaving US and Canadian ports would not be subject to testing at the terminal.

The cost of the initial antigen test is $74 (£61), and the confirmatory PCR test, if necessary, is $125 (£104), for visitors who do not take a test and upload their findings by midnight on the day before embarkation.

Covid rules have been loosened for a number of other cruise lines, including Holland America Line, Seabourn, P&O Cruises, Cunard, Carnival Cruise Line, and Princess Cruises.
