Anantara Mamucabo Bahia Resort in Brazil to Open in 2025

Beginning with the Anantara Mamucabo Bahia Resort in Brazil, Anantara will enter South America in 2025.

The building will be situated in Baixio, a neighbourhood along Bahia’s northern shore, around 150 kilometres from Salvador.

The new-build complex will be located across a 500,000 square metre land and construction will start in 2023. Sidney Quintela Architecture + Urban Planning is in charge of the resort’s architecture and interior design, and Brazilian creative gardener Alex Hanazaki is in charge of the landscaping.

There will be 116 guest rooms, suites, and pool villas at Anantara Mamucabo, with sizes ranging from 70 to 163 square metres.

Three restaurants, two outdoor swimming pools, a beach club and water sports area, a kids’ club, and a nursery and infant section are all part of the recreational facilities.

Bahian regional cuisine will be served at the restaurant and bar inside the beach club, while international and Brazilian cuisine will be served in the hotel’s main restaurant. With a view of the Mamucabo River, which gives the resort its name, an Asian restaurant will be situated in the resort’s centre.

A sports area featuring a tennis court and a paddle tennis court, a fitness centre, a yoga terrace, and a relaxing area are among the other amenities.
A swimming pool, massage rooms, a sauna, and a hydrotherapy circuit will all be available at the Anantara Spa.

The South American continent is “a portion of the world we have been keen to expand Anantara’s footprint into,” according to Dillip Rajakarier, chief executive of Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas’ parent company Minor Hotels. “This exciting project represents the right opportunity.”

There are currently more than 45 hotels and resorts in the Anantara portfolio.
