According to the most recent directive of the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council, Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, will resume direct passenger flights between Abu Dhabi and Beijing as of 29th June 2022. This will be the first regularly scheduled direct international passenger flight to resume for Beijing.
The airline will fly a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, one of the most fuel-efficient planes in the world, once a week.
Senior Vice President for Global Sales & Cargo of Etihad Aviation Group, Martin Drew, stated: Etihad Airways is delighted about the resumption of passenger services between Abu Dhabi and Beijing, our second service to resume to China. China has always been an important strategic market for Etihad and the resumption of direct flights between the two capital cities will further strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and the United Arab Emirates.”
In July 2020, Etihad Airways resumed regular service between Abu Dhabi and Shanghai in order to handle the enormous demand for travel between the UAE and China.
Visitors who want to make a reservation are recommended to go to Etihad.com to explore their alternatives and to stay up to date on the pertinent entry requirements at their final destination.
The admission requirements and testing procedures must be properly followed by every passenger flying on Etihad between Abu Dhabi and China.
