Tunisia has eliminated the need for unvaccinated visitors to self-isolate upon arrival.
Proof of a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours of arrival or a lateral flow test taken within 24 hours of arrival will now be required.
Children under the age of 17 do not need to be tested for Covid-19, and fully immunized UK visitors can enter Tunisia without being tested or quarantined.
On arrival, all travelers may be subjected to random testing and asked to share contact information and travel information with authorities.
The revised Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office travel advice also highlights a new requirement for hotel bookings.
“Officially, evidence of a hotel reservation is required to enter the country, however this policy is not applied uniformly,” the FCDO said.
“In the majority of cases, if asked, an explanation of alternative accommodation arrangements will be accepted.
“A small number of visitors have been refused entry to Tunisia, or delayed, for not being able to provide sufficient evidence of a hotel reservation.”
Anyone in this situation should contact the UK consular team at +216 71 108 700, according to the FCDO.
