American Airlines has resumed flights from London to Raleigh-Durham, which had been suspended during the pandemic.
After more than two years, the direct transatlantic service resumes with a daily frequency of 272-passenger Boeing 777-200 aircraft.
With the addition of the route to North Carolina, the airline will operate a record North Atlantic schedule from Heathrow this summer, with up to 23 daily flights to ten US cities.
Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, and Phoenix are among them.
Rhett Workman, managing director of Europe, Asia, and the Pacific operations, stated: “With the return of our Raleigh-Durham flight, American continues to strengthen its footprint in our European gateway of London Heathrow just in time for a record-breaking summer travel season.”
