Vietnam discontinued all pre-arrival testing for entrance on 15th May.
For admission purposes, Vietnam no longer distinguishes between vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers, but Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh encouraged visitors to be cautious and implement adequate disease protection measures.
Visitors will still be required to take a test upon arrival in Vietnam, but will be able to move freely if they have proven negative.
The Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has updated its travel advice to include the following: “From 15 May you no longer need to take a Covid-19 test before travelling to Vietnam.
“If you show symptoms of Covid-19 (fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, body aches, loss of taste, loss of smell, headache, diarrhoea, breathing difficulty, etc.) you must notify the health agency at the border gates.”
