The founders of one of Europe’s largest music festivals will introduce a new oasis desert glamping experience in Dubai this September.
Terra Solis is a collaboration with Tomorrowland, which was launched in 2005 and is held over three weekends in Boom, Belgium, attracting over 600,000 people from 200 countries.
The adult-only resort, which will include only 74 accommodations ranging from bell tents to lodges and pool-side cabanas, is intended to attract both overnight and day guests from nearby Dubai.
It will be located in Al Yufra, an Arabian fort 15 minutes from Downtown Dubai, and will be open during the colder winter months of September to March.
Terra Solis was advertised as Tomorrowland’s first lifestyle brand, claiming to offer something unique not already offered in Dubai.
Terra Solis’ founder and CEO, Nicolas Vandenabeele, stated that it will not be a major entertainment venue like Tomorrowland, but it will host regular concerts by prominent DJs and musicians.
“We want to bring the whole spirit of Tomorrowland here to the desert but with a completely different concept. We want to offer something in the desert that’s a one of a kind entertainment hub,” he said.
“Guests will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a memorable world of wonder with the finest music, a vibrant yet relaxing pool scene, incredible tastes and aromas and a unique glamping experience in the Arabian dunes while relaxing under the Dubai sun.”
The location is expected to appeal to both tourists and the sizable expat population searching for a place to relax, dine, and enjoy music and entertainment throughout the day and evening.
The 371,000-square-metre attraction will serve cuisine from throughout the world and will include a pool-side restaurant specializing in Mediterranean cuisine, as well as a cocktail bar and Sala shisha club.
