The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection has announced plans to add two additional superyachts to its fleet, Ilma and Luminara, which will launch in 2024 and 2025, respectively.
The ships will be built in conjunction with the Saint-Nazaire-based Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard, with Ritz-Carlton reserving the right to build more.
The news comes as Ritz-Carlton prepares to unveil Evrima, the company’s first superyacht, this summer. The new boats will have the largest space ratios at sea, with 228 rooms, each with its own private balcony, according to the company.
Interior finishes developed by London-based architect and design firm AD Associates and lighting designer DPA will be included on both boats, which will “showcase modern workmanship.”
The external design of the new projects was created by Finland-based yacht stylist Aivan, who was inspired by the aesthetics of private boat design.
According to the company, the onboard experience would,”reflect the comfort and legendary guest service for which the iconic Ritz-Carlton brand is recognised”.
“Having the highest staff-to-guest ratios in the luxury cruising category, Ilma and Luminara will provide nearly one staff member for every guest,” the line added.
Five restaurants, six bars, a wine vault, and signature spaces featured on Evrima, such as an extended marina with a new mezzanine feature, will be available on the future superyachts.
A Ritz-Carlton Spa and a facility for Ritz Kids activities are also available. Groups can enjoy a cocktail reception on the yacht’s enlarged bow for special occasions.
