India to Resume Regular International Flight Operations

On 27th March, India will lift its ban on scheduled international passenger flights, two years after most foreign flights were halted because to the pandemic’s onset.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued the following statement: “After having recognised the increased vaccination coverage across the globe and in consultation with the stakeholders, the Government of India has decided to resume scheduled commercial international passenger services to/from India from 27.03.2022, i.e. start of Summer Schedule 2022.”

Due to a bilateral arrangement between the UK and Indian governments, a limited number of flights between India and the UK have continued to fly despite the stoppage.

International travelers arriving in India must fill out a self-declaration form on the Air Suvidha portal and upload a negative PCR Covid test result obtained within 72 hours of departure, or a document demonstrating full vaccination.
