Greece’s passenger location form (PLF) will be phased out later this month.
From 15th March, those entering the country will no longer be required to fill out the form, removing yet another obstacle to travel before Easter and the summer season.
It’s the most recent significant development in Europe’s efforts to loosen travel restrictions.
Greek Tourism Minister Vassilis Kikilias confirmed the decision on Thursday, 3rd March.
Furthermore, face coverings will no longer be compulsory in outdoor venues in Greece as of Saturday, 5th March.
In a Friday update to its travel advice for Greece, the Foreign Office noted the upcoming changes.
The FCDO said, “From 15 March 2022 onwards, arrivals in Greece will no longer be required to complete a PLF.”
Arrivals who are fully vaccinated can enter Greece without limitation if they can show proof of their Covid status.
A valid vaccination certificate, a valid Covid-19 recovery certificate, proof of a negative PCR test conducted up to 72 hours prior to arrival, or proof of a negative antigen test taken up to 24 hours prior to arrival can all be used to do this.
