Sri Lanka Removed Pre-arrival PCR Requirement for fully Vaccinated Visitors

From today, 1st March, fully vaccinated immigrants will no longer be required to present a negative PCR result, according to the Sri Lankan authorities.

The guidelines will apply to anyone who has received both doses of an approved vaccine more than two months before to travel, or a single dose if they are under the age of 18.

Those who have taken a single dose of a two-dose vaccine and have documentation of Covid recovery between seven days and six months before arrival will be considered completely immunized.

Non-vaccinated travelers must still present a negative PCR test within 72 hours of travel or a lab-tested antigen test within 48 hours of flight.

Travelers from the United Kingdom will need to show a paper letter to establish their status, as the NHS app would not suffice. All visitors must have Covid-19 travel insurance, which must be purchased if existing plans do not provide adequate coverage.
