Queensland, Australia, is preparing to loosen its Covid-19 admission criteria for properly vaccinated international visitors.
Those who qualify will be permitted to enter the state without needing to quarantine starting at 1 a.m. on Saturday, 22nd January.
Fully vaccinated travelers must do a fast flow test within 24 hours of arrival and remain quarantined at home or elsewhere until the results are received.
Those who test negative won’t have to segregate any longer. In Queensland, proof of vaccination is required to enter non-essential locations.
Unvaccinated travelers must still adhere to a 14-day quarantine period.
When 90 percent of Queenslanders aged 16 and up are properly vaccinated, the Queensland government says travel restrictions will “relax further.”
