On 5th February 2022, Western Australia will reopen its borders to international travelers.
The revelation comes after the WA government announced a fresh AU$185 million (£100 million) Reconnect WA package earlier this month.
The fund will assist the aviation industry in resuming international and interstate flights that were affected by the pandemic, as well as identifying new routes.
Additional marketing spending will benefit UK agents and operators, allowing them to learn about new innovations and obtain bookings.
When the borders reopen on 5th February, double-vaccinated immediate family members of adult Australian citizens and permanent residents, as well as double-vaccinated working tourists, will be permitted to enter WA quarantine-free.
All visitors to Western Australia will be required to submit a negative PCR test result 72 hours prior to departure, 48 hours after arrival, and on day six.
These temporary testing arrangements will be reviewed on a regular basis.
Because of the introduction of the Omicron form, the Australian government recently announced plans to allow vaccinated skilled migrants, international students, and working visa holders admission from 1st December, before postponing the move until 15th December.
Brendan McClements, the CEO of Visit Victoria, stated last week that there is a political will to reopen as well as a business rationale to assist solve worker shortages in fields such as hospitality.
He claimed the Victorian, New South Wales, and federal governments were “increasingly synchronized” on the reopening and required Covid-19 protocols.
