British Airways will add more flights to Barbados this winter to accommodate the demand for peak-season vacations around Christmas and New Year’s.
Visit Barbados applauded the action and announced that it would provide an additional 3,000 BA tickets to Bridgetown this winter, expanding connection choices for UK vacationers, business travelers, and residents.
Bridgetown is currently served by two British Airways flights, one from Heathrow and one from Gatwick. However, BA will add a second service from Heathrow in December and January.
It means that BA will now fly to Bridgetown on the 11th and 12th of December, the 18th and 19th of December, the 26th and 27th of December, the 2nd and 3rd of January, and the 8th and 9th of January.
Cheryl Carter, temporary worldwide head of markets for Barbados Tourism Marketing, stated: “Barbados is delighted with the news that British Airways will increase their service from London Heathrow to Bridgetown for December and January 2022.
“Winter is peak season in Barbados, with temperatures reaching highs of 29C. This new flight will allow even more UK travelers to enjoy some winter sun and experience our beautiful island.”
