The Lufthansa global hub in Frankfurt has been reconnected to Bristol Airport.
Flights to the German city resumed on Monday, with four flights per week initially, before increasing to a daily schedule in September.
Taxes are included in the fare, which starts at £159 round trip.
The move comes as Aer Lingus resumed five weekly flights between Bristol and Dublin on Sunday, with one-way fares starting at £39.99, allowing passengers to access the Irish carrier’s transatlantic network.
Aer Lingus is currently flying from Dublin to Boston, Chicago, and New York JFK, with flights to Washington starting on 13th August.
Heinrich Lange, senior sales director for Lufthansa Group Northern Europe, said: “We are extremely pleased to announce that Lufthansa will be operating up to four weekly flights from Bristol airport this summer, and up to seven weekly flights starting in September.
“We look forward to connecting our passengers in south-west England with our main Lufthansa hub in Germany.
“With just a short stopover in Frankfurt, our customers will have access to hundreds of connections to numerous destinations within our vast, global network.”
