Tui to Restart Operations to More Amber List Destinations

Tui has rescheduled flights to more amber list destinations as it continues to reassess its itinerary in light of government restrictions.

On non-Tui flights, the UK’s largest travel operator has already resumed operations to green list destinations Madeira, Malta, Porto Santo, Antigua, Barbados, Gibraltar, Grenada, Iceland, and Jersey.

The Balearic Islands, the Greek islands of Corfu, Crete (Heraklion), Zakynthos, Rhodes, and Kos, mainland Portugal, the Canary Islands Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, and Tenerife, as well as St Lucia in the Caribbean, have all resumed their schedules.

From 22nd July, it hopes to add Cyprus (Larnaca and Paphos), as well as Jamaica.

Morocco (Marrakech) and the Greek island of Skiathos will resume service on 23rd July.

The Canary Islands of Fuerteventura and mainland Spain (Alicante) will reopen on 24th July.

Tui’s program to Kefalonia, Greece, and Malaga, mainland Spain, will resume on 25th July.

The operator will also begin serving Crete (Chania) and La Palma, Majorca, on 27th July.

Operations to Croatia (Dubrovnik) will begin on August 1, followed by operations to Croatia (Split) and Bulgaria (Bourgas and Varna) on 2nd August and Croatia (Pula) on 3rd August.

Up to and including 31st July, Aruba, the Greek islands of Halkidiki, Preveza, Samos, Santorini, and Thassos, Italy, Morocco (Agadir), mainland Spain (excluding Alicante and Malaga), and Tui’s Lakes & Mountains program are all canceled.

Non-Tui flights to Canada, Kenya, Seychelles, and Trinidad & Tobago have also been canceled till 31st July.

Up to and including 15th August, vacations to Cape Verde, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Florida, Mexico, Turkey, and Tunisia have been canceled.

Tui has also canceled non-Tui vacations to India, Indonesia, the Maldives, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand (Phuket), the United Arab Emirates, and the United States until 15th August.

Up to and including 31st August, all vacations to Cuba are canceled.

Tui reiterated in a statement: “We won’t take any customers to red destinations or those which require quarantine on arrival unless this can be foregone by a Covid test.

“If we need to cancel holidays because of updated government guidance, or after reviewing our holiday programme, we will contact customers and aim to give at least seven days advance notice.

“These customers can request a full cash refund, or to change to a later date or alternative holiday with a booking incentive.”

Tui clients can make fee-free modifications up to 14 days before their departure date for travel through 31st October.

All vacations departing before 31st October are covered by Covid.
