Jersey’s entrance regulations have been modified to allow fully vaccinated UK visitors to enter the island without having to go through quarantine.
The move will take effect on 13th July in order to attract more tourists this summer. Passengers who have been completely vaccinated will just have to take one test upon arrival and will not have to isolate.
Those who have not been fully vaccinated will only be asked to perform a free PCR test when they arrive, with little isolation until the test results are negative.
Children aged 11 to 17 will be tested upon arrival and again on day 8, after which they will be expected to isolate until their first negative test result.
Children under the age of ten will not be asked to fill out a pre-departure registration form, will not be tested upon arrival, and will not be expected to segregate.
Enhanced testing and isolation, regardless of vaccination status, will be in place for the tiny number of passengers who have visited very high-risk countries – those subject to the UK travel restriction – in the ten days prior to arrival.
In addition to changes to the island’s Safer Travel Policy, the administration has established new guidelines.
