Summer holidays hope on the horizon as EasyJet announces new routes for 2021

EasyJet has announced 15 new destinations it will begin serving from the end of May from various UK airports.

New routes that have been announced include flights from Newquay to both Manchester and Glasgow, as well as flights from Manchester to the Greek island of Kos and Hammamet in Tunisia.

EasyJet’s hub airport in Luton will benefit from flights to Sharm el Sheikh and Hurghada on Egypt’s Red Sea coast, as well as Preveza in Greece and Larnaca, Santorini. UK holidaymakers living within proximity of Bristol Airport can look forward to flights to the Greek islands of Mykonos and Santorini. Birmingham gets a double daily flight to Amsterdam will commencing on 28 May.

Northern Island also benefits from the announcement with flights operating from Belfast International to Corfu and Inverness.

Other additions include Gatwick to Bourgas in Bulgaria resulting in the airline flying to 108 destinations from London’s second airport this summer with a fleet of 71 aircraft operating from there.

Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK country manager, said: “We know that people want to travel as soon as they can, and as soon as it is safe to do so, and so we want to ensure they have even more destinations to choose from when making a booking for this summer.

“While we remain optimistic for summer travel, given the successful roll out of the vaccination programme which will be an important trigger for the government to begin to unwind some restrictions, our Protection Promise means that customers can book with confidence knowing that if they are unable to travel or their plans change so can their flights or holiday.”
