Less than 4 months after announcing the opening of its Mango House resort under the LXR brand, Hilton have today announced the opening of two new resorts in the Seychelles. Both new resorts will open in 2023 and will give Hilton an impressive portfolio of 6 properties in the Indian Ocean country. Both properties will operate under debut brands in the Seychelles. The first property located on Mahe island will be operated under the Canopy by Hilton name which is the chains lifestyle brand. The second property, located on its own private island will be operated under the exclusive Waldorf Astoria brand.
With only 29 Waldorf Astoria properties currently operational in the world and a further 8 currently in development, this collection of 59 seafront villas, all equipped with private pools, this luxury resort will offer a truly exclusive experience. Guests at the resort will have the choice of six restaurants and bars, outdoor observatory, a spa, tennis courts, kids’ club and a marine conservation discovery centre. All of these amenities are situated within the sanctuary of Platte Island. The island is located just over 130 km south of Mahé Island and has traditionally been seen as a nature lover’s paradise. Surrounded by a coral reef and lagoon and covered with palm forests guests will be able to fly in from Mahe Island on to the islands own small airstrip.
Canopy by Hilton Mahé will offer 120 locally inspired guestrooms and space to accommodate more intimate meetings and events. Located on Anse à la Mouche beach which is on Mahe Island, an area famed for its calm and shallow waters, this resort is set to bring a new sense of vibrancy to the oceanfront community.
